Leavenworth for Christmas!

Christmas was wonderful this year, even though the girls were visiting their dad's, KC and I had a very memorable day. We spent most of it in Leavenworth, WA! The lights are fantastic and so beautiful! It's a whole town all in Bavarian theme, even the McDonald's looks like it is straight from "the old world."
Every single shop in town is lit with Christmas glory, full with a hill for sledding for the kiddos. I have to admit, I went down a few times myself :)
KC then took me to Wenatchee National Forest. The mountains were spectacular! And we were able to go to the middle of the river to get a full view of the surrounding forest. VERY romantic ;)
Below are some pictures of the Christmas Day excursion!

Merry Christmas, 2009!

Happy Birthday, Jennifer!

Happy birthday, Jennifer! She turned 7 years old on December 9th and what a day! We had a pizza party with Aunt Bridgette and cousins, Jarett and Brody :) I can't believe she is 7 already...since it feels as if she was just born! She has always been my headstrong and stubborn one, which makes for interesting conversations.

Jennifer, you are such a joy in my life and I am so proud of you!

Christmas beginnings!!

Christmas time is wonderful! We had a great time putting together the tree. Decorating will be done tomorrow...I hope :)

This was our "mistletoe" but I don't want to gross anyone out by the actual kissing. Tee hee!

Lexi posing for the camera.

Jennifer was a big help :)

KC doing the tall portions!

Always posing for the camera!

LOVE IT!

Erika even helped out...by eating cookies and moral support.

Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving at my mom and dad's was GREAT! It was so nice being with the family before moving to Washington. It was a crazy week!

Here are my cousins and brother-in-law.

Uncle Bob and Aunt Karen. LOVE THEM!

Susy is way pregnant here...and ate 90% if the mashed potatoes.

Sierra was welcomed to the "grown-up" table this year :)

The kids table, where Lexi was the hostess.

This was a CRAZY Thanksgiving!

FINALLY here!

Well, we made it to Washington! A normal 10-hour trip took approximately 19...ugh!
To sum up the adventure:

-Lost Visa card
-Shredded trailer tire in Idaho
-Dog pooped all over the hotel
-Tire popped in the Blue Mountains in Oregon
-Cranky kids....need I say more?

Otherwise, we made it here safely, the kids are enrolled in school and are doing well, and I am somewhat finding my way around. As long as I can make it to Walmart...I'm good! :) Keep you posted!

Sierra, my working girl!

Sierra was able to work in the school lunchroom at Orem Elementary this last week. I remember doing this when I went there as a fifth and sixth grader! It is so wierd to see my own daughter following in my footsteps.

Doesn't she look so adorable though? My workin girl!!!

The biggest adventure yet.....WASHINGTON!

The biggest adventure awaits my girls and me in the next few weeks. We are moving to Ephrata, Washington! I am very excited for this opportunity, as it will bring us closer to my baby sister, Bridgette, plus provide a better financial situation for my little family.

As much as I love and am going to miss Utah with its beautiful mountains and various activities, I look forward to moving toward the future in Ephrata. I will desperately miss my family here
:( Especially since Suzy, my other baby sister, just moved here with her hubby and two boys. It has been a tough decision, but the girls and I all feel really good about the new experiences we can have a few states away.

I will keep you all posted with updates of our move and settling into our new home in Ephrata.

Fall :)

Welcome to Fall 2009! Here are a few more pics of the girls choosing their pumpkins. This was quite the process, as we searched high and low through the corn stalks :)

Earlier in the week I came home to this! Jennifer and Erika were kept pretty busy raking leaves with my dad. However, they did more "rake the leaves then jump in them" than actual work. Which is fine by me!

In fact, I felt it imperative to join them!

I love the Fall time. It's probably my favorite season of the year because it's also my birthday! I love the colors and the smell of hot chili and freshly raked leaves. Happy Autumn!

Happy Halloween 2009

Happy Halloween 2009! Here is our pumpkin carving escapade :)

Anyone recognize Mr. Chang Chang from University Mall? Hee hee!

The girls LOVED carving and painting pumpkins...

Erika loved the painting portion, but still carved with her "punkin knife"

We had our good friend, KC, helping out in the party!

I think Lexi's favorite part was digging out the goop.

However, Jen kept playing with the goop too :)

Good times, good times!!! Happy Halloween....BOO!

Lexi's 9th Birthday

Lexi and Erika both have birthdays in October, one week apart. So Lexi had a friend party on Friday and combined one with Erika on Saturday for the family. Below are pics, again in no particular order, of both parties.

Also, my sweet baby sister got her son back after 6 months of separation from him! HORRAY!

My mom working hard in the kitchen.

Boyd and Suzette were in town with the boys too. They're moving here!!

Lexi hugged all her friends after opening their gift. so sweet.

LOVE this pic of Erika. So much personality!

David (their dad) came with his girlfriend, Cindy, to the party as well.

Had to roast hotdogs in the parent's back yard.

Lexi blew out the campfire in lieu of candles.

Happy birthday Lexi! We love you!
